Scope

'Connected with book review Brogan wrote for the "Manchester Guardian" (not published). Includes letters from C H "Johnnie" Johnston of "The Sunday Ghibli", the Foreign Office and the "Manchester Guardian". It would appear that Dearden was regarded as something of a contentious figure. In her review, Brogan took issue with his interpretation of the 1948 Libyan famine being poorly handled by the British Administration.'
